Preparation
Pat dry the pickle spears using kitchen roll.
Depending on the size of the pickle spears, wrap 1-2 slices of bacon around each spear. Secure the end with a toothpick.
Sprinkle a small amount of BBQ dry rub on each of the wrapped pickles.
Bake at 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes.
Spread BBQ sauce on each of the pickles, then return to the oven for another 10-12 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool.
